    Nice! The renegade hybrid LS1 kits for the 996 have been around for a few years. I've always liked the idea of a Boxter S with an LS1 swap:

    I'd probably favour an aftermarket turbo or supercharger than an landlord engine but I guess if the engine is ****ed than it's a good option

    I wouldn't do it to a 911 personally, but I think the Boxter is fair game. With 986s under $20k now, could be a fun project Especially with one of the Cayman style hard tops.

    yah esp since a boxters with a blown IMS jumps up every few months for pretty damn cheap
